Venturer Scouts and Scouts Complete Summer 2010-11 Windsurf Course

1^st Caringbah Venturer Scouts and Scouts made up 13 of the 17 who enjoyed the windsurf course organised for South Metropolitan Region through the Summer of 2010/11. We started the course on 16^th Oct 2010 and completed it 6 months later with an independent 3 day 48km expedition on Lake Macquarie. We enjoyed 30 lessons collectively totalling over 670 hrs and resulting in 6 of us getting to a standard where we are able to windsurf competently and safely with harness and foot straps in the waves – HURRAY. A beginner and intermediate course will be run through 2011/12 Summer for Venturer Scouts and Scouts plus a “try windsurf day/night” will be run for Joeys and Cubs – BRING IT ON! Thanks to everyone who loaned/donated gear to us.
