Cubs A – Venturing Night – Mar 11

A brilliant night full of fun and surprises for our Cub Pack organised by one of our Venturers , Chris Beauchamp with some help from Venturers Mitch and Tenille. Thank you!!

Venturers Indoor Rock Climbing – Mar 11

1st Caringbah Venturers headed out to St Peters to enjoy some indoor rock climbing on some HUGE walls.  We saw some real agility and strength from many of you and some of us need to get fitter!  The stand outs were Tennille on the stalactite, Jake on the abseil down, Matt/Laura/Jess/Cam B on the overhang, Cam M for stealing the Christmas tree star!  It was a FUN night.  Well done Megs for organising this one.

Cubs at Family Camp – Mar 11

The cubs enjoyed themselves at Family Camp at Coolendel together with the Venturers, Scouts and Joeys.

Group Family Camp – Mar 11

1st Caringbah Scout Group and their families headed out to Coolendel (near Nowra) for an excellent weekend of camping by the river enjoying the end of Summer.  We had loads of youth from every section including  Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers.  This was a chillax camp where we enjoyed lilio’ing down the rapids, jumping in the river upstream and letting the current carry us a kilometre to the other side of our campsite, playing guitars and singing songs around the campfire, jumping off the rocks into the pre-checked deep water, scouts own, watching the wildlife – wombats, “big birds”, goannas and so much more.  Happy Days

Thanks to Kaa and the scout leaders for organising the camp, Chris B, Luke and Nath for the exciting activity they organised and everyone for the level of enthusiasm they brought to the camp.

Venturers Business Suit Hike – Mar 11

1st Caringbah Venturers headed out to enjoy an easy stroll from Grays Point to Audley and return, kitted out in business suits! It all looked a bit surreal seeing some of the Venturers walking through the bush with their best outfits on!

The Brown brothers were the stand outs with excellent outfits purchased from vinnies.

A fun night with some beautiful views from the lookouts and good company to boot.
Well done Mitch for organising the night and thanks to Badger for standing in as the advising leader.

Venturers Water Obstacle Night – Feb 11

Our Venturer scouts headed down to Sutherland Pool to complete the swimming component of their award scheme and enjoyed a night on the inflatable obstacle course.  Of course the obstacle course was timed and the lighter members managed to fire through the course at a lightening pace with Darcie proving “girl power” was well and healthy by recording the fastest time of 15 seconds just ahead of Chris Moir and Ninja Cam Brown.

Thanks go to Venturer Scout Cam McEwan for organising the night, Badger for checking award scheme swims, Lee-Anne for obstacle course timing, Nath and Caitlan for taking pics and Baggy for advising Cam.

A great night.
