1st Caringbah Scouts

We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend canoe and kayak upriver 8 km from Pittwater carrying all our gear with us. Then we camped overnight, fell over a few kangaroo’s in the darkness, wrestled a wallaby that crept into our tent, sung a few songs around the campfire, grabbed an icecream at the waterbourne ice cream boat and then paddled 8km home. “Happy days” as Jim Grant would say.

What a blast we had tonight thanks to some demonstrations by Tae Kwon Do and Ju Jitsu black belt experts. Beyond doubt the highlight for us was being able to chop wooden boards with our bare hands or feet.
