Cubs Science Night – Mar 10

Our Cubs conducted experiments – and had lots of fun – at a  recent “Science” night.  Cubs learned about the chemical reaction which occurs when vinegar is mixed with bicarb soda, forming carbon dioxide.  To add to this experience,  cubs made a dough mixture and sculpted it around bottles to make volcanoes.  For extra effect, washing detergent and food colouring were added to the vinegar and bicarb, with the result being very life like lava explosions!
